TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Touted by county officials as one of the best in the entire state, the new senior center in Troy will open its doors following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday. The new center will replace the longtime senior center on Third Street and features state-of-the-art services and equipment. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany Police arrested two individuals after executing a search warrant at 39 Trinity Place on Tuesday morning. BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Nathaniel Bradford, 37, of Saratoga, was sentenced in Saratoga County Court to an aggregate of 78 years to life. ST. LOUIS -- The National Weather Service says that the upper Midwest will be seeing much warmer weather this week with some temperatures 30 degrees above normal. This is expected to lead to more snow melt and a rising Mississippi River. The water should reach the St. Louis area by the end of April.This may lead to minor flooding on the Mississippi River later this month. The National Weather Service says that the flooding may reach as far south as the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. (AP) - One St. Louis surburb will pay $3.25 million to settle a so-called debtors' prison lawsuit over allegations that thousands of people were unconstitutionally jailed and forced to pay fines and fees that provided millions of dollars for the town's coffers.The town of Maplewood agreed last week to the settlement of the federal class-action lawsuit. Maplewood was among several St. Louis County towns whose policing and court practices fell under scrutiny after the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown in nearby Ferguson in 2014.The Maplewood lawsuit, filed in 2016, alleges unlawful policing and economic injustice. The settlement money will be distributed among more than 7,000 people who were jailed and more than 20,000 who paid fines and fees from Nov. 1, 2011, through Nov. 18, 2021. Denverites are sweating it out in abnormally warm spring weather on Tuesday, with a record high set at Denver International Airport.As of 12:36 p.m., the National Weather Service reported the temperature as 81 degrees at the airport – beating the previous record set in 1982 at 80 degrees.81°F already at DEN, which is a record high for today. Weeks after a tornado ripped through an industrial area of Montebello, dozens of workers at one warehouse are set to lose their jobs because of the damage caused by the rare weather event.Windows of business in the area remain boarded up and cleanup is still ongoing.The city of Montebello says a total of 57 employees at Utilimaster, a specialty vehicle services company along Vale Avenue, will be out of work.The roof of the warehouse was torn off during the March 22 twister. The Orange County Transportation Authority will offer free bus rides on April 22 in honor of Earth Day, OCTA announced Tuesday.Passengers who ride the buses that day won’t need to have a ticket to board a bus, according to a news release.The free rides include stops near some of Orange County’s popular destinations, including Downtown Fullerton, Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm.Metrolink is also offering free train rides on Earth Day.
