(CNN Español) — El Gobierno de Colombia y sindicatos del sector público anunciaron un aumento salarial de un 14,62% que entrará en vigor a partir de esta semana. Se trata de un aumento salarial histórico desde que iniciaron las negociaciones colectivas del sector público, según dijo el presidente Gustavo Petro.El Ministerio de Trabajo informó la semana pasada que en negociaciones de las organizaciones sindicales se logró el aumento para el presente año y será retroactivo desde enero de este año.“Este es el acuerdo salarial al que se llegó para el sector público: 14,62% para el año 2023 retroactivo a 1 de enero y para el 2024 IPC 2023+1,6%. MANCHESTER, England (AP) — On-loan Manchester United Marcel Sabitzer has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, the club said Monday. The Austria international joined from Bayern Munich in January on a short-term deal which runs until the end of the campaign. But after suffering meniscal damage, he will not be able to recover in time to play a part in any of United’s final three English Premier League games or the FA Cup final next month.“Everyone at the club is disappointed to lose Marcel’s services, as we strive for a strong finish to our season,” United said.Sabitzer has made 18 appearances and scored three goals since his arrival. DENVER (KDVR) -- The Springfield Police Department arrested a man on Saturday night who was allegedly driving while intoxicated and got lost. When approached by police, officers said the man tried to switch places with his dog who was in the passenger seat.Police said the incident started around 11:30 p.m. near 7th and Main Street in Springfield, which is in the far southeast part of the state, when a driver was allegedly caught speeding at 52 mph in a 30-mph zone. DENVER (KDVR) -- Denver Mayor Michael Hancock joined the mayors of other major U.S. cities in a letter urging President Joe Biden to meet with them to discuss the influx of asylum seekers arriving from the border.The letter was written by the Office of New York City Mayor Eric Adams. Gerry Connolly said two staffers were injured Monday by a man wielding a bat who came into his district office in Fairfax.Connolly told CNN that the assailant who entered his office and attacked two of his aides today did so with a metal bat. The attacker struck one senior aide in the head with the metal bat, he said. A man from Methuen is facing multiple charges after he allegedly assaulted three Tewksbury police officers during a dispute at a hotel, according to officials.The Tewksbury Police Department said Patrick Buckley, 36, was arrested after officers were called to a hotel on Andover Street around noon on Saturday, May 13.According to a news release, police responded for a report of an “unruly customer who was refusing to check out of his room.”Several officers arrived at the scene and soon located Buckley, who police described as being “enraged, shouting, and refusing to check out or secure his room for another night.”During the response, the department said Buckley assaulted the officers – spitting on one of them while both spitting and punching another.The 36 year old also punched a third officer before being taken into custody and later transported to a hospital for evaluation.
