Aurora brewery will close, sell to new owners

Scott Procop is getting out of the brewery business. But he’s not going far away.The owner of Ursula Brewery, which opened in 2014 next to the Anschutz Medical Campus, Procop decided earlier this year that it was time to sell the brewery in order to focus on his family restaurant at 2100 Ursula St., Cedar Creek Pub, which is across the street from the brewery.Ursula Brewery is closing in December 2023 after a nine-year run in Aurora. An arrest warrant has been issued for NFL star and former Broncos player Von Miller after he allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman Wednesday in Dallas.Dallas police officers responded to the 3100 block of North Harwood Street in Dallas about 11 a.m. to a “major disturbance call,” where they found the 34-year-old Buffalo Bills linebacker allegedly got into a verbal argument with the woman before assaulting her, Dallas police spokesperson Brian Martinez said in an email.Miller left the scene before police arrived.The woman was treated for minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital.The arrest warrant is for assault of a pregnant person, which is a third-degree felony under Texas law.Police did not state whether the woman had a relationship with Miller.The Bills issued a statement on the investigation on X, saying, “This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller. Someone in China created thousands of fake social media accounts designed to appear to be from Americans and used them to spread polarizing political content in an apparent effort to divide the U.S. ahead of next year's elections, Meta said Thursday.The network of nearly 4,800 fake accounts was attempting to build an audience when it was identified and eliminated by the tech company, which owns Facebook and Instagram. A San Bernardino man faces multiple murder charges after he allegedly went on a shooting spree of his current and former girlfriends in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.Louis Peter Hernandez III, 41, was arrested Sunday, one day after he "is alleged to have shot and killed his girlfriend and another victim at a residence in Fontana, then shot and killed his ex-girlfriend in Riverside County," the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.
